Embark on a culinary odyssey with our exquisite Vanilla Beans sourced from the captivating landscapes of Guatemala. Nestled in the heart of Central America, our beans capture the essence of this diverse region, delivering a rich and aromatic profile that promises to elevate your culinary creations to new heights.

Grown in the fertile soils of Guatemala, our  cribbiana species vanilla orchids benefit from the perfect blend of tropical climate and volcanic terrain. The result is a Vanilla Bean that is plump but short, luscious, and bursting with an exceptional medley of sweet, creamy, and floral notes. Each pod is a testament to the meticulous care taken during cultivation and harvesting, ensuring a product that meets the highest standards of quality.

Vanilla beans originated in Mexico and are sun cured for months using the traditional drying method. They are now found all over the world from places like Madagascar to Indonesia to Papa New Guinea PNG farms. Gourmet Guatemalan Vanilla Beans are some of the highest quality beans in the world and have an incredible flavor profile.

Our beans are traditionally cured to develop the full, complex vanilla flavor made of over 200 organic compounds that artificial vanilla (Natural Vanilla Flavor WONF) cannot properly replicate. The entire process takes anywhere from 6 to 9 months after pollination and our farmers have turned vanilla processing and curing into a true art.

Our grade A vanilla beans are ~3 - 4 inches in length and are handpicked to ensure proper qualities. There are so many recipes that can be created with these magical beans! They are perfect for making homemade vanilla extract or KAHLUA, home cooking or baking, desserts such as vanilla bean ice cream, cake, cupcakes, or cookies and are a top choice of professional chefs for making desserts such as Creme Brulee. Our beans are also a top pick for home brewers or those who own a brewery! Homemade KAHLUA or Vanilla extract is also a very popular gift and can be made using a simple vodka infusion method! Bonus points for using the spent vanilla beans after the extract making process for creating vanilla sugar!

You can also follow these instructions to learn how to open, split, and scrape a whole vanilla bean!

Our beans are triple inspected throughout the beans journey from Guatemala to the United States. First, they are inspected by our farmers who have hundreds of years of wisdom and experience growing these gourmet pods.  The second inspection is before bulk vacuum sealing for transport and to ensure no mold has developed. The final inspection is done at our warehouse moments before packing your shipment. We check the smell, quality, and appearance if any mold has developed a final time. Once all of these are checked, we vacuum seal our vanilla beans in our beautiful custom industrial vacuum pouch to a tight 28 HG vacuum.

Absolute heaven!!

As I opened the package of beans, that fabulous aroma of vanilla with just a hint of chocolate was so intoxicating. VBK does a fantastic job with every order I received.

Guatemala vanilla beans

The Guatemalan beans that I received from Vanillabean kings were the most fantastic beans I have ever worked with. They were pretty short but…oh so plump and oily. My hands were covered with the oil just touching them. They each had more caviar than I think I’ve ever seen in beans much longer than they were. I can’t wait for the vanilla to be ready. I didn’t get pictures of the beans but, this is a picture of them just two days in the vodka. Amazing!

Alanna D. (Mount Victory, OH, US)

The beans from Guatemala are simply outstanding. A little shorter than some but very fat and oily. These beauties are now a double fold in vodka. VBK beans are priced right and very quickly shipped. I am one satisfied customer.

These guys suck

They suck the boredom right out of my day when Imy shiny gold package containing my new treasures arrive in the mail. Then my kitchen counter looks like the science room from high school; scales, beekers, knives, nitrile gloves, alcohol, and what not. All in an effort to concoct the best vanilla extract from the plumpest beans around. I don't drink, yet I'm a regular at the liquor store, to the point they know when my beans arrive. I have more vanilla than I will ever be able to use, yet I keep buying more so I can keep making more.

The co-op is the devils playground, and I can't manage to stay off the merry-go-round. Strap in, the ride is fun and VBK is an awesome partner, or dealer. You decide.

VBK has the best customer service, pricing, and variety of beans to send you down the extracting rabbit hole. Place an order today, you won't be mad you did.

Karen D. (Chicago, IL, US)

Very pleased with these plump Guatemalan beans—can’t wait to try the extract!

Love VBK!

All my vanilla beans are currently extracting so cannot expound on flavor yet. However, I can tell you every package I open is fresh with plump beans and the most amazing fragrances! You must give VBK a try if you extract your own vanilla, you won't be disappointed.
